Armored Kill Sneak Peak

PS3 Premium members received the newest Battlefield 3 DLC, Armored Kill, first.  As such, I thought I’d give you guys a few pictures I took of the action.  The maps are stunning (mostly) though my pictures may not be (I had to take the pics with my cell phone, as I don’t have the ability to screen grab from my TV).  Anyway, here they are!

Battlefield 3 DLC – Close Quarters

I’ve been gone for two months, and in that time, literally nothing has happened in the video game or pop culture world.  That’s why it was such a pleasant surprise to me when I found out that the newest DLC for Battlefield 3, Close Quarters, was released yesterday.  I dusted off the ole Playstation, searched for my BF3 disc, and paid my cable bill.  And when I got online to get it, I

Battlefield 3 DLC: The Good, The Bad, The…

Battlefield 3 came out back in October, around five months ago.  And in that time I’ve sunk over 100 hours into the game.  As disappointed as my parents surely are in my life’s progression, and as clearly as my love life has withered, I’ve still managed to find happiness in what I considered 2011’s greatest game.  Not long after the

Modern Warfare 3 DLC: Liberation and Piazza

For months now I’ve hated on Modern Warfare 3, complaining of its unoriginality, bemoaning it’s failures in comparison to Battlefield 3, and in general just letting it collect dust while I enjoyed other games.  But I had an epiphany last weekend.  When a friend of mine came over for drinks, we ended up playing MW3 the entire night.  This is because, despite all it’s percieved faults, MW3 did

Open letter to DICE

Dear DICE,

It’s no secret that you’ve created an amazing game with Battlefield 3.  I bought it on a whim while picking up Arhkam City and haven’t put it down since.  Skyrim took a two month hiatus just so I could pad my Battlelog stats a little more.  I’ve now got service stars with 17 weapons and all assignments but one.  I wrote, when I first got the game, that no BF3 multiplayer game is the same and that they all leave you with crazy stories.  This still holds true

Used Games: The Great Debate

By JSixGun

There is an enormous discussion taking place in the gaming world right now, and that discussion is zeroing in on the role used games play in the market; both for the consumer and the developer. It really hit a crescendo this week when purported news of the “Next-Box” came out claiming that Microsoft was looking into blocking used games, or at the very least inhibiting them. Now let me be clear from the very beginning, in most cases I feel politics has no use in gaming blogs, and political bloviating from both sides can be found plastered on the internet in a

Is it worth going Back to Karkand?

So the new Battlefield 3 DLC has been out for over a week now, and I’ve had a chance to really sink my teeth into it.  I didn’t preorder the game but still somehow managed to get a “Limited Edition” copy, so my Back to Karkand expansion pack was free of charge.  If you’re in the same boat, download it now.  If not, you’ll have to fork out $14.99 for it.  So is it worth it?  My answer is a resounding yes, and here’s why:
